By placing them close to the wing and backplate, they provide a useful means of both helping adjust your trim, if necessary, as well as adding needed ballast. Include a pair of trim pockets with your carbon fiber plate system to save weight while travelling, once you’re at your destination slide in up to 5lbs per pocket.
